Our Electrical Products business unit in Smart Infrastructure develops low and medium-voltage technology and solutions for power systems. We are looking for a Spring 2026 (January - June) Manufacturing Engineering Co-op as part of the Operations Leadership Development Program with our Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products division. This position is based in Hingham, Massachusetts. This co-op will prepare you for a potential opportunity with our two-year rotational Operations Leadership Development Program and other entry-level roles upon graduation. You’ll make an impact by: Implementing Lean principles and Capex investments to accelerate operational efficiency Enhancing the production of our world-class Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), serving the demand for reliable critical power solutions Closely collaborating with Operations, Quality Engineers and other Manufacturing Engineers to drive change management to take waste out of our manufacturing processes Researching and implementing AGV (Assisted Guide Vehicles) on the shop floor to optimize material movements Using pick LED to streamline Base Switch Kitting process for fabricated parts Developing expertise in change management, business finance, and root cause analysis You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Rising juniors and rising seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Industrial Systems Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or Supply Chain Management Must be enrolled as a student at Northeastern University Available to work 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday) from January 2026 to June 2026 Eligible candidates must have reliable job transportation and be located within 50 miles of Hingham, MA as this role does not provide housing or relocation support Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis, reporting, and documentation Experience with CAD software for layout design and physical space planning Strong analytical skills to interpret logistics, inventory, and production data for continuous improvement Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and implement changes in operations environments Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge in Basic Operations Management, Lean, Value Stream Mapping, 3D Printing, Design of Experiments, and FMEA principles Experience in manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain environments Ability to interpret and apply data-driven insights to optimize production and material flow Familiarity with AI-aided modeling and programming tools to support process optimization and digital transformation initiatives About Siemens: We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
