MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field Prior manufacturing and or project-based course work preferred. ABOUT THE JOB! The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will participate in project-based work aimed at improving manufacturing processes, efficiency, and product quality. This hands-on role involves process development, optimization, troubleshooting, and data analysis. Under the guidance of a dedicated mentor, the intern will gain exposure to cross-functional teamwork and present their work to leadership, with the goal of preparing them for a successful career in manufacturing engineering. RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the design, implementation, and testing of new manufacturing equipment or tooling to enhance efficiency and quality. Troubleshoot and assist in resolving issues related to machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes. Collect, analyze, and report data on production performance, identifying trends and suggesting actionable improvements. Collaborate with engineering teams to support the implementation of process changes and ensure smooth project execution. Communicate progress on projects, provide regular updates to leadership, and prepare project report-outs to share findings and recommendations KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic understanding of manufacturing processes. E.g. assembly line and machining Understanding of 3D CAD Software. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaborating with teams Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes quickly Ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner TO APPLY: Visit: https://gentexcorp.com/careers/ LOCATION: Gentex’s Manchester facility is located in southern New Hampshire.
