Leidos’ Defense Systems Colorado Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our team supporting a stand-alone manufacturing facility performing work on a hypersonic weapon system as well as other DOD and aerospace applications. As part of the site leadership team, the ME Manager will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative team to support our nations war fighters. Agility, flexibility, and creativity will be necessary to successfully navigate engineering and production.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate will have a BS degree in engineering from an accredited university with at least 8 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems, as well as PLM and MES software.
  • Proficient understanding of GD&T.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or MS in engineering.
  • Lean manufacturing experience with Six Sigma certification.
  • Prior experience with machining processes.
  • Prior experience in Deltek Costpoint.
  • Secret Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead engineering staff to support all programs.
  • Support implementation of Solumina MES.
  • Create and maintain work instructions.
  • Identify and execute on continuous improvement projects.
  • Identify and reduce risks in the production processes.
  • Plan and maintain production flow through MRP system, including change management and make/buy designation.
  • Ensure smooth transition of MBOM to Material Planning team.
  • Support estimating with review of new opportunities.
  • Maintain department performance metrics.
