Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Engineering Manager to lead operations at our client’s production facility in Central Maine. This is a high-impact role focused on process improvement, team leadership, and operational excellence. You’ll oversee daily production, lead continuous improvement efforts, and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive safety, efficiency, and innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING MANAGER

  • Lead and coordinate all production activities at a production facility
  • Track, report, and improve key performance metrics across departments
  • Apply LEAN manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Evaluate and refine manufacturing schedules, methods, and standards
  • Manage preventive maintenance programs with the Maintenance Manager
  • Oversee and plan equipment upgrades, replacements, and capital improvements
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management of facility staff
  • Provide coaching and development to direct reports and the Facility Manager
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and recommend promotions or corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Lead cross-functional project management efforts for new systems or processes
