Job Overview: The Process Engineering group at Knowles Precision Devices is responsible for supporting and maintaining the flow of production material for the Thin Film and SLC Product Lines.   These product lines includes single layer capacitors (SLC) and, RF and microwave components for applications in telecom, aerospace and defense markets. This position provides daily management support to a team of hands-on process engineers. This role provides daily support to operations to maintain flow of parts through each process, help manage yields and assign resources to a range of improvement projects.   This is a fast paced position, that expects time management to support short term and long term needs of the company. Salary and title dependent on experience.   Duties & Responsibilities: * Attend daily plant operations meetings, in support of organizational KPIs including: Material Review Board, Engineering Control Center, Plant Control Center * Host/Co-Host daily engineering meeting (ECC) * Assign, prioritize and delegate tasks to team members * Mentor and train members in Root Cause, Engineering Trial Plans (DoE), Job Instructions (JI), Work Instructions (WI), process experimentation and documentation.  * Report on and mange flow of processed material (WIP) assigned to engineering * Serve as team interface to plant supervision and management * Support contract review, new product/job/drawing review,  and rulebook maintenance * Collect and analyze data on yields and process capability * Participate in and lead project-based teams * Comply with and support company policies and programs regarding safety, security, ISO, EEO, OSHA   Qualifications & Skills: * 3 years experience as a process engineer in a semiconductor or thin-film fab * 3 years experience with IPC or MIL Standards * BS Engineering in engineering or physical sciences, or equivalent experience * Experience authoring JI/WI for operator use and process reference * Experience developing DoEs, new processes, equipment qualification and change control * Experience with Excel, JMP, or Minitab to collect and interpret process data * Experience with Lean Six Sigma and CI principles; certification a plus * Strong written and verbal communication skills, communicating to both operators and senior management * Willingness to train others and work as a member of inter-disciplinary teams * Must be able to perform lab duties in an ISO certified clean room, meeting gowning, ESD, and EHS requirements. * Must be a U.S person.  Ability to obtain and maintain US DOD Secret Clearance, a plus.
