QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-year technical degree OR 5 years related experience and high school diploma
  • Can prioritize and manage day to day activities to meet deadlines

  • Ability to express manufacturing concepts conversationally face to face, over the phone and in email
  • Ability to work with people on a manufacturing floor with a productive, non-combative nature

Responsibilities

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Document processes for fabrication and machining of parts, sub-assemblies and machine assemblies, with

supervision

  • Update work instructions for identified processes, engaging manufacturing, quality, and engineering with

supervision

  • Update routers, referencing similar-to parts, and fabrication and machining standards
  • Cost parts, referencing similar-to parts, and fabrication and machining standards
  • Draw fixtures for work holding to reduce manufacturing cost, lead time, and quality
  • Support Design for Manufacturability and Assembly - engaging with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply

chain

PREDOMINANT TASKS

  • Document manufacturing processes with models, drawings and text descriptions
  • Create and manipulate three-dimension drawings of parts to depict manufacturing processes
  • Research similar-to parts for existing methods and costs
  • Research parts, update costing and routings in SAP
  • Create and manipulate three-dimension drawings of fixtures
  • Process engineering changes for manufacturing drawings, routers, programs, and work instructions
  • Create plate burn profiles from engineering drawings
