KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities

OUR PURPOSE

At our Manufacturing Engineering Department in Medtronic, plc, we focus on providing technical support to Manufacturing operations with a focus on results and teamwork. Manufacturing Engineering Technicians are directly involved in troubleshooting and technical support of process, materials, and equipment operation.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform a variety of duties in the Electronic, Mechanical, Electromechanical and/or Optical areas.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, devices, or systems.
  • Develops Engineering solutions using DMAIC mythology in a COS environment.
  • Works from schematics, Engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed I.T. format.
  • Performs calibration and alignment checks, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
  • Provide technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, IT, and product development.
  • Responsible for the installation, calibration, and preventative maintenance of on-line process equipment and for the preparation, maintenance, and control of appropriate documentation outlining product processing work steps.
  • Provide technical support to Lean Sigma initiatives/continuous improvement projects or other task/project teams as required.
  • Assist with Engineering and Manufacturing training.
  • Support and participate in corrective/preventive action procedures and support the collection and trending of product line metrics
