The Manufacturing Equipment Engineer will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving production efficiency, and ensuring that the company’s operational goals are met. This role requires hands-on involvement in production, process improvement initiatives, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that all processes run smoothly and cost-effectively. Responsibilities: · Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase product quality. · Develop, document, and maintain process standards to ensure consistency in production and compliance with quality control protocols. · Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement process modifications to enhance safety, productivity, and sustainability. · Design and execute process experiments to test new methods or materials, ensuring the scalability and efficiency of changes. · Troubleshoot process issues on the production floor, working closely with operators, maintenance teams, and quality control personnel to identify root causes and implement solutions. · Lead continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to reduce costs and improve production throughput. · Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including production efficiency, cycle times, yield rates, and downtime. · Coordinate with R&D and product development teams to scale up new product lines and introduce new processes into manufacturing. · Train and mentor production staff on process improvements, new procedures, and best practices. · Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all process engineering activities. Evaluate the usage of robot/mechanization to improve safety, eliminate errors and increase performance Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or a related field). · 3+ years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing, preferably in packaging or a similar industry. · Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.). · Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and process optimization tools. · Experience with CAD software and process simulation tools is a plus. · Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. · Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. · Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills. · Willingness to be hands-on with production equipment and processes to resolve issues. · Knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control procedures is essential.
