POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Manufacturing Excellence Specialist position is the catalyst for Plant level standardization in the deployment of the management system and continuous improvement activity throughout the plant to deliver AOP and stretch targets. Also, this position will be responsible for Technical training management for developing, implementing, and managing all technical training programs within organization.

• Responsible for BME (Ball Manufacturing Excellence) self-assessment and improvement plan execution embedding standards in Operations way of working as per BME intent.
• Develop and maintain a Plant Manufacturing Excellence Master plan that supports the delivery of the short and long term objectives of the business.
• Lead business critical cross functional projects that either enable or directly deliver FFG (Fuel for growth) savings in the respective cost categories utilizing specified minimum project requirements.
• Plan, facilitate, and execute continuous improvement activities by using Lean tools and techniques (VSM, 5S, SMED, PDCA, TPM, Problem Solving Techniques, …) to improve & sustain performance
• Act as a change agent for the business and Coach at all levels using GROW coaching techniques.
• Lead problem solving projects by training, coaching and facilitating teams to perform effective root cause analysis method
• Examine data sets from Manufacturing Execution & Quality Systems in order to find trends and draw conclusions about the information they contain by using statistical tools.
• Manage plant better practices program, liaise with company continuous improvement network for both benchmarking internal and external best practices and roll out in the plant
• Manage Plant Manufacturing Excellence capital hopper ensuring pipeline of projects up to date with relevant information to allow the project to proceed if selected as a priority.
• Prepare the plant for the Global Technical Training Approach.
• Collaborate and develop the training needs in line with EHS, Quality and Maintenance Pillars of BOE.
• Get trained to deliver the trainings effectively, through TTT program.
• Collaborate to identify training needs, design & develop a comprehensive training plan for the plant and ensure effective training deliveries through optimal resources, materials & documents.
• Ensure the required resource availability, approved training material, and training documents (attendance, feedback and post training assessment) to measure the quality of the trainings delivered.
• Create & publish a training calendar for the plant and work with process experts to improve/ update the training content periodically.
• Work with the regional training team to develop the training standards and upload in GTP portal.
• Publish a periodic report to the Plant Manager and the BPEMEA Technical training team on the progress against the plan.
• Supervise, provide guidance, support & develop the OJT trainers in the plant.
