Description We are seeking a hands-on, people-focused Manufacturing Floor Supervisor to lead daily production operations for our semiconductor capital-equipment manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume environment and who is passionate about developing talent, optimizing processes, and ensuring projects are delivered with precision and efficiency. As the Manufacturing Floor Supervisor, you will oversee a team of 10–15 skilled technicians and assemblers, manage floor resources, and ensure that labor hours are accurately tracked, analyzed, and optimized across all active projects. You will play a critical role in scaling our operational capabilities as the company grows. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing technicians and assemblers, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and skills-development planning. Ensure cross-training to build a flexible, resilient workforce capable of supporting shifting production priorities. Production Management Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. Allocate labor across multiple concurrent projects. Maintain a visible presence on the production floor to support troubleshooting, workflow alignment, and team engagement. Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to resolve build issues and maintain production flow. Project Labor Optimization Monitor, track, and analyze labor hours for each project, identifying variances and opportunities for improvement. Implement strategies to reduce non-value-added time and improve labor efficiency without compromising quality. Provide weekly reporting on labor utilization, project progress, and resource constraints. Process & Continuous Improvement Drive improvements in build processes, documentation, and workflow to enhance throughput and reduce rework. Support implementation of lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and standard work. Collaborate with Production Support Engineering to refine build instructions, BOM accuracy, and manufacturability. Operational Coordination Ensure the production floor is organized, safe, and compliant with company and industry standards. Partner with Supply Chain to manage material availability and minimize production delays. Participate in production planning meetings and contribute to schedule development. Requirements Qualifications 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in semiconductor equipment, capital equipment, or complex electromechanical systems. 2+ years of leadership experience managing production teams. Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, labor planning, and resource allocation. Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or similar methodologies. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, build documentation, and technical specifications. Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
