Description Location: Grand Prairie, TX Schedule: M-F, 8:00AM-4:30PM We are seeking a Manufacturing General Laborer to join our Texas operations. This is an entry-level, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning new skills, and contributing to a team-oriented manufacturing and warehouse environment. The Manufacturing General Laborer plays a critical role in cutting and crimping operations to assemble our hose product line, painting pipes, elbows, and other weldments, along with supporting the warehouse activities. You’ll be cross-trained across multiple tasks and supported by a team that values dependability, teamwork, and pride in workmanship. A strong work drive, self-motivation, problem solving, and teamwork are critical for this position. RESPONSIBLITIES Operate all equipment in a safe manner and use safe work habits. Maintain a safe and clean working environment including complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations. Follow specifications or procedures for set-up and machine operation using blueprints, instructions, and machine knowledge. Wear all protective gear to maintain a safe work environment – no compromise. Assure the paint booth is clean with proper organization. All personal respirators are maintained. Paint per the procedure of primer, gloss, and metallic to meet the specifications. Cut appropriate hose material safely to length using a knife or powered bandsaw. Load proper hose and end materials into machinery utilizing cranes when necessary. Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure machinery is working properly. Notify a supervisor promptly in the event a machine is not properly working. Conduct tests and inspections of products to evaluate quality and tolerance. Pick orders from stock or staging areas by hand, hand cart, pallet jack, or sitting fork truck. Prepare product for shipment to customers including affixing the appropriate labeling. Pack product in the appropriate box, crate, and/or shrink-wrap as required for the type of material being shipped. Verify the quantity and quality of materials picked and packaged for accuracy. Use handheld scanner to transact all material moves. Inspect materials and ensure bills of lading are correct. Affix complete address labels and any other special labels required for the handling of material as specified by the carriers. Take pride in proper packaging and handling of company’s parts. Challenge others when the task is not being performed to a high level. Load trucks with outgoing products and unload trucks with incoming materials placing it in the appropriate locations. May perform local deliveries with company owned truck. Maintain complete and accurate paperwork. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor. Willingness to cross train and perform the work of other job tasks when necessary. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2+ years of experience in assembly, general labor, machine operation, and/or shipping and receiving experience. Prior experience operating forklifts, jib cranes, and overhead cranes. Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform precise measurements using a tape measure. Basic computer skills required to accurately gather and input data from computer systems and record job transactions. Capability to lift 30 lbs with regularity and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
