Description Full-time - Paid Weekly Position Summary: The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence across CDI manufacturing facilities by improving labor productivity, optimizing workflows, and eliminating waste. This role partners closely with production, engineering, quality, and leadership teams to analyze data, develop labor standards, and implement sustainable improvements—plant by plant. FAST: Respond quickly EASY: Don’t complicate things FUN: Be a great day maker COMMUNITY: Share your time, treasure, and talents with each other and the world GROWTH: Committed to being better tomorrow than we are today Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collect and analyze production, labor, and efficiency data to optimize labor utilization, work content, and staffing models Develop and maintain labor standards for sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes Support capacity planning and labor forecasting based on demand and production mix Evaluate and improve manufacturing workflows for sheet metal operations including cutting, forming, welding, assembly, and finishing Identify and eliminate waste using Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, standard work) Improve material flow, workstation layout, and ergonomics to enhance productivity and safety Partner with production, engineering, quality, and leadership teams to implement improvements 75% - 80% Travel Required Requirements Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably sheet metal fabrication Experience in sheet metal processes (laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, assembly) Strong experience with labor analysis, time studies, and work measurement Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement certification Proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel and manufacturing data analysis Experience driving labor productivity improvements in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume environment Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field Additional Qualifications: Embraces and promotes CDI values – FAST, FUN, EASY, COMMUNITY, GROWTH Excellent communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment Ability to influence without direct authority
