Description This is a daylight shift/4 days a week/10.5 hour shifts Monday - Thursday schedule from 6 AM to 4:30 PM Complete production tasks per established time standards and methods to meet customer expectations, quality standards, and on time delivery requirements. On the job training will be provided to learn how to load/unload trays for the robot. Vacuuming and cleaning of debris from parts after they have been machined. Set-up and complete assembly and sub-assembly tasks per the production order. Use various hand tools (manual or power) in a safe manner to complete assembly tasks. Perform final assembly, packaging product and clean up of work area (including trash). Requirements This is a six week temporary full time position with the potential to move to full time permanent status. Education requirements: Preference will be given to students that completed the MD MEP Manufacturing Bootcamp Ability to pass Phoenix Mecano’s knowledge assessments Understanding of high school level reading, writing, and basic math Physical Requirements: · Routinely required to use a hands, fingers, and arms in repetitive motions · Regularly required to stand, walk, bend throughout a work shift. · Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds | Occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds · Consistently required to use hand or light power tools | Occasionally required to use X-Acto knives or razor blades. · Regularly required to move (push and pull) racks and pallets of product around production floor (up to 100 feet at a time) · Regularly and consistently required to use or be exposed to adhesives, lubricants, solvents, cleansers, etc. · Common PPE is safety shoes and glasses. Other PPE includes full face shield, hearing protection, protective coats, gloves, and dust mask · Skin may be exposed to dust and chips from plastic, aluminum, and fiberglass.
