YouSeq is a biotechnology company that makes molecular testing kits that are used in hospitals and labs around the world to help fight cancer and other diseases.
As a Manufacturing Laboratory Assistant, you’ll begin the day by checking the task list and prepping for production runs. You will adhere to strict standard operating procedures for manufacturing of components and liaise with the QC Team and supervisors as units are manufactured. By the end of the day, you will check all records have been updated, perform decontamination of the laboratory and equipment shutdown as required.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Supporting clean laboratory operations and manufacturing singleplex qPCR units to a high standard of quality
· Ensuring singleplex units are maintained above the minimum stock quantities
· Ensuring support for manufacturing is provided to other clean lab members
· Performing routine lab decontamination, weekly shutdowns, and freezer defrosting
· Assist in the upkeep of Clean Lab Stores by performing routine stock takes

Essential qualifications/skills:

• Excellent eye for detail

Desirable:

• Confidence working to quality management systems, e.g. ISO 9001/ISO 13485

Job type:
· Full time, initially a 6-month contract with the potential to become a permanent role
