Description Summary: The Manufacturing Lead will play a vital role within the production floor at our growing food manufacturing operations located in Salem, New Hampshire. The selected candidate will assist the Manufacturing Supervisor with the managing and coordination of all activities of the production floor, along with ensuring the safety of the production employees. Primary Responsibilities: Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor with overseeing all activities throughout the production floor on assigned shift. Report, document, and track attendance of all permanent employees and temporary employees. Report downtime throughout the assigned shift. Address production issues in a timely manner to reduce or prevent downtime or loss of product. Communicate to other departments throughout the facility about the production schedule to ensure all employees are aligned. Optimize costs in the manufacturing of products, meeting quality and efficiency standards while uploading the policies and procedures of the facility. Communicate with off shift Manufacturing Leads regarding any issues during the designated worked shift or from the night prior. Ensure waste is communicated documented properly. Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Requirements: High School diploma/GED or equivalent. Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or a related position within a leadership capacity. Demonstrated ability to operate machinery. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Physically must be able to stand for long hours and be able to lift at or above the waist at a maximum of 50 lbs. Effective communication skills. Strong interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Extremely detailed and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and self-motivation.
