JOB SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance. This role supports the maintenance of company assets, emphasizes workplace safety, and requires effective documentation and communication with cross-functional teams. The technician plays a key role in minimizing downtime and contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience.
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Electrical certifications preferred or willingness to pursue continued education in electrical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-direct and work independently.

    Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and failures.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Support general facilities maintenance and inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Collaborate in a team environment to ensure operational success.
  • Adhere strictly to all plant safety regulations.
  • Document tasks and time using the CMMS program.
  • Coordinate with Supervisors, Schedulers, and Process Engineers to optimize operations.
  • Take initiative in identifying improvement opportunities and planning task execution.
  • Organize and plan tasks outside of machine production time to minimize downtime.
  • Acquire necessary materials and maintain inventory of spare and wear parts.
  • Contribute to project planning and scheduling, including coordination with project manager.
  • Apply creative problem-solving to develop and implement practical, lasting solutions.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work weekends or overtime as required.
  • Provide support to other departments when necessary.
  • Contribute to waste reduction through continuous improvement initiatives.
