Description

Description The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production of Fibox products. This role oversees production teams, drives operational excellence, and partners cross-functionally to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. The Manufacturing Manager plays a key role in developing people, improving processes, and supporting Fibox’s commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Operations & Production Leadership Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery commitments Translate production plans into daily execution, ensuring optimal labor, materials, and equipment utilization Monitor and manage key manufacturing KPIs (safety, quality, productivity, scrap, on-time delivery) and take corrective action as needed People Leadership & Development Directly manage and develop supervisors and production staff, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and teamwork Coach leaders on performance management, employee development, and effective communication Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, training, and employee relations matters Safety, Quality & Compliance Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards Ensure manufacturing processes align with quality requirements, work instructions, and ISO-related standards (where applicable) Address quality issues proactively, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions Continuous Improvement & Process Excellence Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, standard work, and process consistency Utilize Lean manufacturing tools and problem-solving methodologies to improve throughput and reduce cost Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to support process improvements and new product introductions Planning, Reporting & Communication Communicate production performance, challenges, and improvement plans to leadership Support budgeting, labor planning, and capital equipment justification as needed Ensure clear communication flows between shifts, departments, and leadership Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Proven experience leading teams in a production setting with measurable performance outcomes Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, and labor management Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and KPI-driven performance management Working knowledge of safety regulations and quality systems Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools Why Fibox, Inc.
