Description
American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) provides technical development and commercialization of domestic, sustainable sourcing of critical battery materials through lithium-ion battery recycling and battery metal extraction technologies for use in batteries that power electric cars, grid storage applications, and consumer electronics and tools. Our first of kind systems produce commercial-scale battery materials that are sold into the battery manufacturing supply chain. As a Manufacturing & Material Flow Intern at ABTC, you will gain practical, hands-on experience in the rapidly evolving battery technology sector. You will support our manufacturing team by assisting in the analysis and optimization of material flow processes throughout our facilities. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to work on real-world projects, develop valuable skills, and contribute to the efficiency and sustainability of our manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with experienced professionals, participate in data analysis, and engage in continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process. Pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related field). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and material flow concepts. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Basic understanding of data analysis and visualization tools is a plus (e.g., Tableau, MATLAB, Python). Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced work environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous internship or project experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus. Physical Demands Ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the plant, and lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to wear PPE, including safety glasses and protective shoes.
