Description
Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Rebuild Technician, ideal for someone mechanically inclined and seeking an entry-level opportunity in general labor, manual labor, or mechanical assembly. This position involves working in a production and warehouse environment, rebuilding heavy-duty truck parts using hydraulic press machines, torches, power tools, and hand tools. The technician will inspect and evaluate used parts for reusability, troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on meeting production goals. Tasks also include preparing parts for remanufacturing using hot tanks and paint booths, ensuring a professional finish, and conducting quality inspections. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. If you have experience as an assembler, enjoy hands-on work, and are looking to grow in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting, we encourage you to apply. Who We Are: Weller Truck Parts began its history in Muskegon, Michigan in 1928 when Harry Weller, a small body shop owner, found value in recycled parts for the auto industry. The small business thrived so much that in 1949, Harry moved Weller Truck Parts to nearby Grand Rapids, MI. Since that time, Weller Truck Parts has continued to grow under the direction of the Weller family. In 2014, Weller became a member of the Jasper Holding family of companies and a 100% Associate Owned ESOP. Today, Weller continues to grow and out-service the competition by providing an engineered solution for efficient and cost-effective repair, removing the otherwise defunct units and parts from the path to a landfill. What are you looking for? Are you a “do it yourself” mechanic? The one that likes to “wrench” on their car engine in the driveway. Have you considered how you could get paid to “wrench”? If so, Weller Truck Parts may be the next career opportunity you are looking for. Weller Truck Parts is a remanufacturer of transmissions, differentials, steering gears, electronics, mechatronics, driveshafts, and heavy-duty truck parts.
