Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in safety briefings, audits and inspections and discussing related manufacturing processes
  • Engaging in cross-functional meetings with different departments to understand their roles in manufacturing
  • Contributing to the appropriate systems, procedures and controls to enhance the efficiency of manufacturing processes
  • Inspecting raw materials and finished products for quality standards
  • Assisting in conducting quality tests and measurements including documenting and reporting
  • Assisting in manual handling and managing inventory levels and stock control
  • Learning to interpret production schedules and plan material requirements
  • Assisting in the Production Planning end to end process and systems
  • Understanding the use of material and resource management software
  • Collaborating with the design and engineering teams to understand product specifications
  • Assisting in developing, reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and designs in the 3D modelling tool.
  • Working closely with manufacturing engineers to optimise production processes
  • Supporting Quality Control, quality assurance and dimensional control process and systems both in the shipyard and vendors
