JOB DESCRIPTION

Unicorr Packaging Group is a multi-plant, family-owned and operated business producing corrugated packaging, displays, and foam and wood protective packaging. It is among the largest converters of corrugated products and protective packaging in the Northeast. Practicing lean to promote efficiency and sustainability, as well as a customer-partnership philosophy, has led to Unicorr’s success and growth. Currently, we have a Customer Service Manager opening based out of Bensalem, PA at our TriState Container plant

POSITION SUMMARY

The Customer Service Manager is the primary liaison between the Company’s customers and operations. The role includes managing and overseeing the functions of the Customer Service team to effectively support the coordination of customer orders, manufacturing and delivery schedules, service issues, and other related customer concerns. This role requires frequent interaction with manufacturing, sales and production to satisfy customer needs and maintain positive business relations between the company and its customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in Marketing, Business, or Communications preferred
  • Proven experience as a sales representative and/or manager
  • Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in the Corrugated industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Highly competitive nature, a strong will, and sound business judgement
  • Computer literacy is essential, with demonstrated competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead the customer service team to meet departmental goals and service levels.
  • Oversee daily order entry, pricing accuracy, scheduling and customer communications.
  • Act as primary liaison between customers, production planning, logistics and sales.
  • Coordinate with operations, design and quality teams to help resolve production issues and support customer service on-time deliveries.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer inquiries, complaints, and delivery issues.
  • Monitor order flow from enter to delivery to ensure on-time performance.
  • Train and coach customer service representatives for high performance development.
  • Collaborate with sales team to forecast customer needs and manage inventory expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality, safety and production procedures.
  • Visit customers as needed to build relationships with key decision makers in the purchasing, engineering and quality departments.
  • Coordinate daily meetings with scheduling, production, and quality teams.
  • Review incoming Requests for Quote (RFQs) and prepare pricing recommendations for review with sales and operations leadership and prepare final quotes for submittal to customer.
  • Monitor key account performance metrics such as sales growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, quality, and overall relationship.
