Responsibilities
  • Performance of basic hand skills, standard trade practices and fundamentals in aviation maintenance
  • Removal of surface coatings and light corrosion from aircraft or aircraft components.
  • Preparing and Pre-treating aircraft or aircraft component surfaces
  • Sealing aircraft and aircraft component structural seams
  • Removal and installation of aircraft non-structural component
  • Painting / surface coating aircraft and aircraft component surfaces
  • Applying aircraft identification markings and decals
  • Planning and organising own aviation maintenance work activities as they apply to painting and finishing
  • Applying quality standards applicable to aviation maintenance processes as they apply to painting and finishing
  • Interpreting and using aviation maintenance technical data
  • including manuals, drawings, and specifications as they apply to painting and finishing
  • Completion of aviation maintenance industry documentation as required by relevant Regulations and Quality procedures
