Boeing Global Services (BGS) is a dedicated services business, focused on the needs of Global Defense, Space, Commercial, business and general aviation customers and has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Manufacturing Planner (Mid-Level) to join the team in Dallas, TX.
Supply Chain Engineering’s mission is to focus on providing world class engineering support and parts to ensure the successful operations of our Commercial and Government customers. The Manufacturing Planner’s role will provide Liaison support to our Emergency/First Responders on issues and concerns that arise in addition to supporting our retrofit kitting statement of work. This role may also require 1st and 2nd shift support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):

  • AA degree in related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience supporting commercial aircraft engineering definition, planning, and kitting
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • 3+ years of experience in using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Must possess experience in problem solving
  • Experience in the aerospace manufacturing-build process and design
  • Experience in Lean processes and implementation
  • Experience working in both development and sustaining program environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supporting commercial aircraft engineering definition, planning, and kitting
  • Proficiency with Systems/Tools including SAP, SAP-CRM, PDM, REDARS, PSDS, Maintenance Performance Toolbox, Part Wizard, GoPartsGo, WIRS, BEAR, Bridge, ACMS
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of part certification processes

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 year’s related work experience, 5 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers by evaluating and resolving complex customer spares procurement issues.
  • Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, standards, regulations, and data from multiple sources to develop recommendations and best approach to meet customer requirements.
  • Communicate directly with customers to provide education and clarification to support a wide range of technical issues.
  • Team with other Boeing groups to provide solutions to complex technical issues surrounding airline spares and maintenance requirements.
  • Support Retrofit Change Board activity by creating and maintaining technical data/definition of Service Bulletin Kits, Components, Tools, and End Items
  • Provide resolution for incoming requests for assistance (examples: Service Notifications, Kitting Sales Blocks, CRM, and RFA)
  • Provide ME review and sign-off on Delivery Commitments/Committed Changes
  • Provide ME review and sign-off of Engineering Design
