Description Position Overview: The Manufacturing Planning Specialist supports the Production Planning team by ensuring all work released to manufacturing is fully prepared, properly sequenced, and ready for execution. This role focuses on manufacturing readiness, CNC program scheduling, and cross-functional coordination, helping reduce delays, rework, and last-minute issues. The role works closely with Design Control Specialists, CNC Programming, Engineering and Production and owns follow-up actions, so planning does not need to chase missing information, programs, or readiness items. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Support the Peer Review and Manufacturing Kickoff processes alongside Design Control Specialists and Planning. Identify and resolve manufacturing and CNC readiness gaps before release. Schedule CNC programming work based on Peer Review findings, Kickoff actions, and production priorities. Provide backup support for CNC Programming and STEP file preparation as needed. Track and close readiness actions so Planning can focus on production flow and priorities. Maintain and improve process documentation and standard work related to planning readiness, Kickoff, and CNC handoffs. Communicate readiness status, risks, and completion timelines to Planning and Production teams. Qualifications: Experience in Manufacturing or Production Planning, CNC, or related roles. Strong understanding of shop drawings and manufacturing documentation. CNC programming or setup experience (or strong hands-on exposure). Ability to prioritize, coordinate, and follow through across multiple teams. Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset. 4 years working with CNC 1-2 years working with Planning
