JOB SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our Client team and drive process efficiency, safety, and quality improvements throughout our facility in Palmerston, Ontario. Our client is a trusted manufacturer of high-quality electrical enclosure components. REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–5 years in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of completing projects on time and within scope.
  • Demonstrated experience performing time studies and implementing lean manufacturing practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other PC-based tools for data tracking and analysis.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize production and reduce waste.
  • Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD or Solid Edge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead cost reduction, quality improvement, and health & safety initiatives through enhanced manufacturing processes and optimized workflows.
  • Review and improve production procedures, tooling, sequencing, and equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish, document, and maintain process standards and SOPs.
  • Conduct time studies and analyze production data to identify opportunities for lean implementation.
  • Design and maintain efficient line layouts based on changing business needs and continuous improvement findings.
  • Train staff on new processes, procedures, and equipment operation.
  • Contribute to a collaborative work culture that fosters ongoing innovation and performance improvement.
  • Ensure full compliance with Palmerston Manufacturing’s Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Production Systems.
