JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to provide process planning and formal work instruction support in a high-complexity aerospace manufacturing environment. This role focuses on developing, reviewing, and maintaining manufacturing work instructions within a digital MES platform, supporting large-structure fabrication and assembly operations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in aerospace or defense manufacturing, and skilled at translating engineering requirements into clear, actionable documentation for shop floor use.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related technical field
- Equivalent hands-on experience in aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing (civilian or military)
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and process specifications
- Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and quality standards (AS9100/ISO9001)
- Experience in authoring and validating shop floor work instructions
- Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills
- Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Experience in manufacturing or assembly of large structures (e.g., aerospace, defense, spaceflight)
- Familiarity with welding, composites, machining, and test environments
- Exposure to digital MES systems or manufacturing planning tools
- Knowledge of spaceflight or mission-critical hardware standards
