Description

Morgan Motor Company is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual for a key role within the Process Engineering and Production Readiness department.
The Company: Located in Malvern, Worcestershire, Morgan Motor Company is an innovative British sports car manufacturer; offering a fitting antidote to mass-produced automotive manufacturing, bringing with it an exceptional mix of traditional craftsmanship and appropriate modern technology.
The Role: The successful candidate will be joining an existing team responsible for delivering new and updated vehicle programs, new manufacturing processes and continuous improvement strategies. Liaising closely with the Production and Quality teams to ensure that key components and processes are defined and controlled.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Proven background in Automotive Manufacturing Engineering either OEM or Tier 1. .
  • Be able to lead, coach, and develop team members.
  • Experience of manufacturing processes utilizing bonded structures, casting, sheet metal work, textiles beneficial.
  • Good communication skills for vehicle cross-functional discussions
  • Initiative-taking personality who will challenge current thinking and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Highly organised with a logical approach to problem solving using industry standard methods. .
  • Experience in using any of the following Cad software beneficial.
    o 3DExperience R2017x
    o 3DExperience R2021x
    o CATIA V5

o Solidworks.

  • Confident working in a environment that is in a pivotal stage of growth and development.
  • Good multi-discipline experience is required.
  • A passion for motor cars and/or engineering would be ideal
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and develop production processes and documentation.
  • Support new product introduction tasks, product changes, and quality improvement tasks.
  • Support development of manufacturing capabilities.
  • Driving continuous improvement projects.
  • Work closely with the production team during new product introductions; this will involve good communication skills, and the ability to liaise with our supply base during the procurement process
  • Lead problem solving and developing solutions to existing quality issues across the product range through root cause anaylsis.
  • Involved in varied work and will get to work alongside other departments such as Quality assurance, Engineering and Development, Production, and Supply Chain

OCCASIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The team at Morgan is small, and work life is fast paced. There could be times where short secondments on to specific projects or task could be required, but this helps in developing more flexible and rounded professionals.
