JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Lead team of Manufacturing Process Engineers supporting the EA Tubes business. Provide technical leadership and coaching to members of your team as well as shop operations employees. Responsibilities include supporting technical challenges for operations, improving product quality, establishing/monitoring process controls, launching new products, and mentoring/coaching engineers. This will be done through process improvements, process monitoring/controls, and implementation of Lean Six Sigma.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or related technical degree and 3 years of experience, or an Associates Degree and 6 years experience in production or engineering
  • Good analytical, planning, interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • M.S. Degree in Engineering or Business
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to identify & implement best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity
  • Previous people leadership and/or program management experience
Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally with QA, AME, and Engineering teams
  • Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.
  • Resolve manufacturing issues related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment, and product design
  • Provide inputs into DFM for new product introductions through process design, tool development, and new equipment
  • Drive better business decisions through process data and controls
  • Monitor and improve productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality and cost-conscious manner
  • Lead compliance efforts in support of plant goals. Provide team coaching on compliance documentation
  • Driving Lean Six Sigma implementation
  • Provide safe processes that comply with all local and federal regulations. Assure that corrective and preventive actions are taken to resolve observed safety concerns in all areas
  • Be aware of, comply with, and provide input on the Quality Management System
