Description
After strong growth across their NZ and Australian customer base, Stratex is adding more Process Operators to the team — and they want people who'll grow with the business, not just fill a shift. Stratex is a leading manufacturer of customised paper-based flexible packaging solutions — trusted by some of the biggest food and FMCG brands in New Zealand and Australia, including Nestlé, Fonterra, and PepsiCo. This is a hands-on production role for someone who takes pride in doing things right and wants to build a long-term career with a manufacturer that's actively growing. About the Role •Operate laminating, winding, and slitting machinery across rotating 12-hour day and night shifts •Maintain product quality across all production runs - detail and accuracy are non-negotiable •Identify mechanical faults early and escalate to minimise production downtime •Collaborate with your shift team to meet daily output targets in a fast-paced environment Skills and Experience •Proven mechanical aptitude - hands-on experience in manufacturing, packaging, or a related production environment preferred •Sharp eye for quality with a zero-compromise approach to production standards •Forklift (hoist) licence preferred but not essential, full NZ driver's licence an advantage •Comfortable using digital production systems •Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 25kg •Dependable team player with a proactive, energetic approach and a strong work ethic Benefits •Rotating 12-hour shifts that provide built-in time off and lifestyle flexibility •Generous package which consists of a starting hourly rate of $30.95/hour + night shift + meal + call out + first aid allowances with premium overtime rates on weekends and un-rostered shifts •Secure, long-term role with a well-established manufacturer •Collaborative, supportive team culture with strong leadership at every level •Ongoing technical training and development in an innovative and growing industry Apply online now if you are mechanically minded, dependable, and ready to bring your production expertise to a high-performing team that takes pride in their craft. Your application will be reviewed within 5 working days of receipt. Should your application be shortlisted, a Talent Connector will schedule a short phone interview with you to discuss the next steps in the recruitment process. Part of our pre-employment checks post-interview may include a Ministry of Justice check, personality profiling, a health assessment, and/or drug & alcohol testing. About Talent Connection Our mission is simple: We help align individuals' and employers' goals with our recruitment expertise. Our key point of difference is that we don't charge a commission, so you can rest assured we will not be "selling" you into a role.
