Growing manufacturer in Springfield, VA is seeking a Manufacturing Process Specialist to add to their team. This role works closely with production supervisors and technical teams, offering a unique opportunity for growth to a future leadership role. The ideal candidate will have an engineering or technical background, Lean Six Sigma certification and familiarity with SAP. Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience required. responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on process workflows, equipment, and SAP-related transactions across departments
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues effectively
  • Lead and support improvement projects across manufacturing areas
  • Support documentation, training, and knowledge transfer initiatives
  • Perform structured process data reviews
  • Help build and maintain standardized workflows
  • Serve as backup for production and process supervisors

Requirements:

  • Educational background in engineering or related technical field preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP
  • Experience with batch manufacturing preferred
  • Process control experience in manufacturing
  • Hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities
  • strong analytical mindset and proficiency with data tools including Excel or Power BI
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Must be comfortable wearing required PPE and working around chemicals, as well as ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
