Role and Responsibility Supporting projects to deploy automated systems for manufacturing processes, providing subject matter expertise for programming, debugging, and troubleshooting robotic and automated systems. Providing technical expertise for Robotic and automated systems’ programming, Write, modify, and debug Fanuc/UR/ABB robot programs and PLC/HMI/Servo to meet production requirements and improve efficiency. Providing troubleshooting for Robotic and automated systems, diagnose and troubleshoot issues with robotic systems, AGVs including mechanical, electrical, and programming problems and work with manufacturers to resolve these issues. Work closely with MEs and Production team to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. Work with the maintenance team to conduct repairs on robots and AGVs as needed. Provide basic operation/troubleshoot training to line operators, maintenance and MEs. Other duties assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time. Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 1+ years of related experience Strong technical aptitude with a focus on robotics, automation, and mechatronics. Experience programming and integrating robots, such as FANUC, ABB, KUKA or Co-bots into assembly processes/systems. AGV Programming and experience is best. Intermediate proficiency computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Posting Dates: November 12, 2025 - December 30, 2025 Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
