Description

Responsibilities: Oversee Design Transfer through the application of Design for Excellence principles. Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned systems and provide training as necessary. Act as a liaison between Research & Development, Manufacturing counterparts, and Suppliers. Ensure ease of assembly and high yield rates by conducting design reviews and utilizing assembly and test fixtures. Govern and drive cost efficiencies: Through system design optimization during the design phase, By applying LEAN principles in manufacturing. Ensure product development considers future sustaining activities. Design and develop assembly/test jigs and fixtures. Ensure proper documentation is available in accordance with Design and Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for instrument industrialization. Develop and manage workflows with the development team as needed to ensure compliance with QMS requirements. Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in product development environment. Familiar with Design for Excellence principles. Experience with various tools. Eg. DOORs, JAMA and SAP. Preferably experienced in a highly regulated environment. Preferably with Electromechanical experience. Familiar with either 3D CAD system such as Solidworks or Electrical CAD system such as Altium designer.
