ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Production Manager to lead the setup, launch, and ongoing operation of our Smith Blade manufacturing facility. This role will oversee the installation and commissioning of an army of CNC machines, establish quality control, assembly, and packaging processes, and manage a shift-based production team operating 24/7. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in both greenfield manufacturing setup and high-volume production management, with the leadership skills to build a top-performing team from the ground up.

WHAT YOU’LL DO1. PRODUCTION SETUP & RAMP-UP

  • Collaborate with engineering and leadership to design the production floor layout.
  • Oversee delivery, installation, and commissioning of CNC machines and related equipment.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for CNC operation, quality control, assembly, and packaging.
  • Establish shift structures, staffing plans, and training programs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely arrival of materials, tooling, and consumables before launch.

You’ll have the rare opportunity to build a manufacturing operation from the ground up, shape the processes, assemble the team, and lead the full production of one of the most exciting new products on the market. This role offers both the challenge of launch and the reward of running a high-performance, 24/7 operation.
