SUMMARY

This an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Manufacturing Program Manager to guide our chemical production efforts from development-scale to production-scale. These chemical plants will reshore American production of 8+ chemicals critical for defense and commercial applications that currently face supply chain challenges. The Manufacturing Program Manager will be responsible for developing and managing project plans, schedules, budgets, risks/opportunities, and deliverables all while working with the chief engineer, engineering team, and construction project manager to translate project objectives into actionable tasks

Essential Functions

  • Communicate effectively through written, verbal, and presentation channels to internal team members and external stakeholders. Communicate technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and manage project plans to support a transition from development-scale to production-scale chemical manufacturing. The timeline for these plans is estimated to span the 12–36-month time range.
  • Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules that translate the big-picture project plan into actionable quarterly and weekly tasks.
  • Develop and maintain a budget employing a tailored subset of Earned Value Management strategies (EVM Lite).
  • Track project risks and work with the engineering team to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Track project opportunities and work with the engineering team to realize improvements.
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly deliverables to internal and external stakeholders including US government representatives and potential customers.
  • Work closely with engineering and operations to develop a high-level understanding of all chemical plant unit operations.
  • Ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

115,000 - 150,000 USD per year(Penrose)
