The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Manufacturing Scheduler (Mid-Level or Senior) to support Boeing Global Services. This role will support various military programs out of Fort Walton Beach, FL.
The individual possesses a comprehensive understanding of how scheduling and business systems integrate, allowing them to develop effective solutions to various problems. They meticulously analyze data to ensure that only defect-free information is passed to downstream systems. Additionally, they take on the responsibility of training co-workers on the intricacies of data integration between master schedules and downstream systems, as well as the processes involved in data transfer.
In workshops focused on process improvements, they represent the business systems, contributing valuable insights. They also assess the cost and risk implications associated with proposed schedule changes, analyzing and integrating relevant inputs. With the assistance of higher-level analysts, they create cost/risk benefit summaries and recommendations for leadership approval, subsequently implementing the approved plans.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing scheduling or production planning
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, production workflows, and inventory management
  • Experience with scheduling software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems)
  • Experience in a role that required strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a role that required a strong attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.) (Senior Level)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or similar.
  • Experience with Lean principles and methodologies to improve efficiency.
  • Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) for reporting and decision-making.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and supply chain.
  • Experience in change management processes and the ability to adapt to new technologies and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Develops plans and schedules, evaluates costs and risks, and manages changes to program plans and schedules.
  • Establishes planning and scheduling systems, forecasts demand, develops strategic plans, conducts risk assessment and make/buy analyses and analyzes new scheduling techniques for current programs and new business proposals.
  • Develops and directs production master schedules and time-phased manufacturing sequence plans.
  • Performs flow-time calculations, validates the schedule data with supervisors and produces schedule status data for management.
  • Provides program schedule strategy and progress information to customers, suppliers and Company management.
  • Determines such requirements as rate and rotable tools necessary to support manufacturing build plans.
  • Interfaces with program management, fabrication management, assembly management and tooling to ensure the accuracy of forecasting information and schedule feasibility
