JOB SUMMARY:

Assist the controller in the lean transformation and continuous improvement of all accounting and reporting functions. Assist controller in supporting manufacturing team with practical financial coaching to lead team to achieve excellence and deliver financial results. Assist controller in leading the rest of the team, gatekeeping process for timely financial targets delivery and deadline adherence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. Professional certification (CPA/CMA) and/or MBA a plus. Minimum of 5+ years required, preferably in manufacturing environment with increasing roles of responsibility.

Responsibilities


    • Drive improvements in financial processes, including the appropriate use of automation, improvements in the quality and consistency of data and analysis, and elimination of non-value added work.

    • Develop system controls to ensure data integrity.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain standard work.
    • Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions.
    • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of month end closing and financial statements analysis.
    • Participate in setting standard costs, physical inventory and annual operating plan processes.
    • Prepare and analyze budgets and financial reports.
    • Maintain control environment in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and company policy.
    • Ensure that accounting practices follow all relevant accounting standards, state, and federal regulations as well as Company values and practices.
    • Daily/Weekly Operations meeting participation
    • Collaborate with Operations staff level business partners to review and control functional level spending and other processes to include inventory controls.
    • Participate in leadership team activities including MDI, Mission Control, RIE’s, and VSA items.
    • Participate in or lead other projects as necessary.
