Description The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily manufacturing operations and production personnel to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. This role leads and coordinates training and cross-training initiatives to build workforce flexibility, capability, and coverage. The Manufacturing Supervisor provides direct supervision to production staff, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures consistent execution of production plans, policies, procedures, and standard work. Supervisory Responsibilities Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment Provide mentorship, development, coaching, and appropriate feedback for team member career pathing and growth Support and coordinate staffing needs including cross-training and skills development Directly supervise production personnel, managing their production schedules and standard work execution daily Conduct performance evaluations Ensure company policies and procedures are followed; assist with corrective action and disciplinary processes in accordance with company policy as needed Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Communication Develop and grow team member skills, aligned to support our operations roadmap Act as a liaison between the Manufacturing Manager and the production team members to ensure clear communication and alignment Communicate production performance, risks, and issues to management in a timely manner Support training initiatives, standard work development, and skills progression for the team Assist department and company leadership with special projects and assignments as needed Safety & Quality Enforce safety standards and safe work practices; lead by example in maintaining a strong safety culture Ensure production processes comply with quality standards, work instructions, and regulatory requirements Support investigations of quality issues, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness Conduct floor audits, inspections, and compliance checks as required Continuous Improvement Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and efficiency gains Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, standard work) Ensure improvements are documented, trained, and sustained on the production floor Production & Operations Supervise daily production activities to ensure schedules and targets are met Assign labor, balance workloads, and address production constraints Serve as the primary escalation point for production, quality, safety, and equipment issues on the floor Partner with the Manufacturing Manager and supply chain roles to execute production schedules and adjust priorities as needed Monitor equipment performance and coordinate to minimize downtime Requirements Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field OR equivalent leadership experience in manufacturing Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (Lead, Supervisor, or equivalent) Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality systems Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop team Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Electronics manufacturing experience Experience supporting or leading continuous improvement initiatives Experience working with an ERP system
