THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a proactive Manufacturing Support Operative to join our team. This is a key hands-on role focused on ensuring that materials, machines, and work areas are fully prepared for smooth, efficient production — especially during shift transitions. You will play a vital part in enabling flow across departments, supporting the night shift, and maintaining production readiness.
This role is perfect for someone organised, reliable, and eager to develop their skills. For the right individual with the right work ethic, training and clear progression opportunities are available.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Experience in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Good understanding of production flows and material staging
  • Comfortable performing visual inspections and following basic quality processes
  • Competent with basic computer use (e.g., data entry, stock records)
Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES – PRODUCTION SUPPORT & PREPARATION:

  • Prepare and stage materials, tools, and components for daily and night-shift operations
  • Support set-up of machinery, including our state-of-the-art laser cutting and fibre-cutting machines
  • Organise stock, monitor material levels, and communicate shortages or issues to relevant teams
  • Maintain cleanliness and order across prep and staging areas
  • Help maintain workflow efficiency across departments

SECONDARY DUTIES – QUALITY SUPPORT & VISUAL INSPECTION:

  • Carry out basic in-process inspections and visual checks on finished components
  • Confirm conformance to specifications prior to dispatch
  • Identify and report non-conformities or potential issues
  • Maintain basic inspection records and communicate findings to production or QC leads
  • Ensure clear communication and handover between shifts to maintain smooth production flow and effective teamwork
