Description
Description Balanced Body is seeking a Systems Analyst with a background in hard, discrete manufacturing. We are not looking for candidates from financial services, software-as-a-service, or process industries (Food/Chemical). You will be the technical bridge between our IT department and our physical production floor. This role requires someone who understands how an ERP system handles metal, wood, upholstery, and assembly to ensure our logistics and manufacturing operations remain world-class. Responsibilities Shop Floor Liaison: Act as the primary technical point of contact for our manufacturing leads, translating shop floor requirements (production scheduling, labor tracking) into ERP solutions. Business Central (BC) Expert: Serve as the internal Super User for Microsoft Business Central, specifically managing the Manufacturing, Jobs, and Inventory modules. Discrete Manufacturing Focus: Assist in the configuration and UAT of system updates related to Bills of Materials (BOMs), Routings, Work Centers, and Machine Centers. Inventory & Warehouse Logic: Optimize how BC interacts with our warehouse operations, ensuring Shopify and other integrations accurately reflect physical stock and production lead times. Industrial Reporting: Develop dashboards that track production efficiency, scrap rates, material requirements (MRP), and fulfillment speed. Implementation & Training: Lead the rollout of new system functionality directly to the production and logistics teams, providing hands-on training where the work happens. Requirements Qualifications: Hard Manufacturing Experience (Required): 3+ years of ERP experience specifically within discrete manufacturing (e.g., machinery, automotive, furniture, or medical device hardware). Note: Candidates from Food, Beverage, Chemical, or Software sectors will not be considered. Technical Literacy: Deep understanding of BOM structures, work orders, and production routing within an ERP environment (Microsoft Business Central/NAV experience is highly preferred). Operations-First Mindset: Demonstrated experience working inter-departmentally with all levels of a company, from C-suite to shop floor operators. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or equivalent "on-the-job" manufacturing systems experience. Communication: Ability to explain complex technical system logic to non-technical production staff. Work Schedule: Our office is open Monday to Friday 6:00AM to 5:00PM. Schedule will be assigned prior to start.
