At the same time, you ensure the accuracy, reliability, and proper maintenance of data within the MES, supporting the seamless day-to-day functionality of the Infor Shop Floor system and related enterprise applications. Your work directly impacts system uptime, production visibility, reporting accuracy, On Time In Full (OTIF) performance, inventory accuracy, and overall operational efficiency. By delivering responsive IT support while safeguarding data integrity, you enable employees across the organization to operate efficiently, securely, and without unnecessary technical barriers. Your Key Areas of Impact MES Data Entry, Integrity & Operational Support: You are responsible for the accurate and timely entry, validation, and maintenance of production data within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), including production orders, labor transactions, material usage, scrap reporting, inventory adjustments, and master data updates. Working closely with the MES Engineer, you ensure that system configurations align with real-world production practices and that transactional data accurately reflects shop floor activity. You proactively identify discrepancies or recurring data issues and communicate findings to support continuous system improvement and operational reliability. Reporting & Operational Analytics Support: You generate and validate production, labor, scrap, and inventory reports to support operational leadership. In coordination with the MES Engineer, you help ensure data accuracy before metrics are distributed or used for performance evaluations. You support ad hoc reporting requests and contribute to KPI monitoring efforts, strengthening confidence in MES-driven insights and reinforcing data-driven decision-making. System Governance, User Access & Compliance: You manage user roles and access within the MES under established governance guidelines, collaborating with the Senior Divisional IT Manager, Network Administrator and MES Engineer to ensure proper access controls, security alignment, and compliance with company IT policies. You support audit requirements by maintaining documentation related to user permissions, training records, and transactional controls. Your work reinforces data integrity and regulatory compliance within the production environment. MES Support, Change Coordination & Continuous Improvement: When system modifications or enhancements are required, you coordinate closely with the Senior Divisional IT Manager and MES Engineer during testing and deployment phases. You provide operational feedback to support structured change management and ensure that system updates are well-documented and effectively communicated to end users. IT Help Desk & Shop Floor Technology Support: You provide first-level IT support across office and production environments, including assistance with workstations, printers, barcode scanners, shop floor terminals, and basic network connectivity issues. In collaboration with the Network Administrator, you help diagnose and escalate infrastructure-related concerns while maintaining clear communication with affected users. Your responsiveness ensures minimal downtime and sustains operational continuity. Cross-Functional Liaison & Vendor Coordination: You act as a bridge between Production, Quality, Engineering, IT, and external system vendors. You document issues, open and track support cases as needed, and coordinate resolution efforts alongside the MES Engineer and Network Administrator. By translating technical issues into operational language and vice versa, you promote clarity, accountability, and alignment between system performance and production needs. Data Security, Risk Awareness & Business Continuity Support: In partnership with the Network Administrator, you follow established cybersecurity protocols and safeguard sensitive production data. You assist in maintaining downtime procedures and manual data capture processes to ensure operational continuity during system outages. You support recovery efforts by documenting system incidents and contributing to process improvements that enhance resilience and reduce future risk. Documentation, Training & Knowledge Sharing: You maintain clear and current documentation for MES procedures, IT support processes, and user guidelines. You assist in training employees in proper data entry standards and system usage, reinforcing consistency and compliance with operational policies. By working collaboratively with the MES Engineer and Network Administrator, you help ensure documentation reflects current system configurations and technical standards. Requirements You have earned an associate degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Computer Systems Technology, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field, and possess a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment supporting high-volume production operations. You have at least three (3) years of hands-on experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP/MRP systems, or similar production-related platforms, with experience in data validation, reporting tools, and Structured Query Language (SQL) preferred. Experience providing IT help desk or technical support in an industrial environment is highly valued, including user account management, system access control, and basic network troubleshooting in coordination with a Network Administrator. Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, or APICS/CPIM are considered an asset. You demonstrate a high level of integrity, confidentiality, organization, and self-discipline, and understand the importance of data accuracy in supporting production performance. You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and are comfortable working extensively in computer-based systems. The Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel Your work is conducted in a dynamic manufacturing setting, requiring flexibility to work in both office and production floor environments, where exposure to noise and fumes is common, necessitating the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
