Job Summary Manufacturing Team Lead As a Manufacturing Team Lead, you will play a key role in managing operators, equipment and materials. This includes being responsible for flow of work through the shop and technical training of operators. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Team Lead Serve as a technical resource and team leader for operators. Train and develop less experienced operators and participate in their development in partnership with VSM. Complete work order paperwork and demonstrate an outstanding record of quality, efficiency, and productivity. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Ability to operate, set-up, and program all machinery in the department. Strong basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.). Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs. Preferred High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings. Work Environment Manufacturing Team Lead This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
