Description

Teconnex is a global manufacturing business located in Keighley, west yorkshire, we now seek to recruit a manufacturing team leader to lead our aerospace line, with staffing up 25 heads;

The role

  • Ensuring production is planned and resourced effectively
  • Tracking daily output, improving efficiency, and maintaining quality
  • Encouraging team development and open communication
  • Upholding health & safety and quality audit standards

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Proficiency in business systems
  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced production setting
  • Minimum: GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role or similar position.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting is essential.
    Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 16.00 - Friday 12.30pm finish

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES

  • Achieve production KPIs: volume, efficiency, quality
  • Plan and manage resources (parts, machinery, people) daily
  • Identify and solve bottlenecks
  • Maintain high 5S standards and lead root cause analysis
  • Operations & Compliance
  • Ensure machines are reported and downtime minimized
  • Escalation procedures followed during failures
  • Strict adherence to Teconnex policies and H&S protocols
  • Take corrective actions when needed

People Management

  • Communicate performance and initiatives daily to operatives
  • Coach, train, and upskill team members
  • Conduct return-to-work interviews and keep training records updated
  • Ensure workforce is effectively deployed based on skills
