LINE OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Line Supervisor, the Line Operator works in a team setting and is responsible for working on the plant floor in a safe and productive manner. This position involves heavy physical lifting of packaging on pallets/ bagging lines, keeping operations running smoothly by maintaining the production line at a steady pace.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • High School Diploma

Experience

  • Working in an industrial manufacturing setting an asset

Skills and Abilities

  • Heavy physical lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Good eye/ hand coordination, with repetitive motions throughout shift
  • Proficiency writing in order to process documentation.
  • Operating equipment occasionally
  • Ability to work overtime.

Working Conditions

  • 5 night shifts - 11:00 pm - 7: 30 am.
  • Potentially dusty work areas
  • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn, such as high visibility vest, hard hat, and dust mask/respirator in some areas.

Starting wage 21.20 per hour, 6 months 21.54 per hour, 1 year 21.87 per hour.
