Description Job Summary This is a full-time non-exempt position. Hours of work are 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. with a 30-minute lunch break. Shifts may vary depending on business needs. Mandatory seasonal overtime will be required. This is a hands-on welding and general assembly position within our in-house manufacturing facility, focused on producing high-quality Corvette parts. We take great pride in our workmanship and maintain strict quality standards throughout every step of the manufacturing process. Attention to detail, consistency, and pride in one’s work are essential, as each part is carefully produced, inspected, and prepared to meet our customers’ and industry expectations for excellence. Reports to Manufacturing Manager Essential Functions Metal Fabrication Skills - Cutting, sanding, grinding, finishing, polishing Mig Welding Skills Assisting with basic assembly of auto parts Using a Hydraulic Press Using drill and tap equipment Learning and assisting with spot welding and/or die-cast machine Packaging parts, preparing skids for shipment Operating hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas Organizing parts on shelves Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and following prescribed safety regulations Requirements Key skills and competencies of the position include, but are not limited to Knowledge of Basic Hand Tools and usage Understanding of Basic Assembly of Components Basic manufacturing and machining processes Operating and reading basic measuring tools, calipers Basic manufacturing safety practices Forklift certification or willingness to complete training High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills Basic knowledge of math. Use, carry, set up and climb ladders Highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team Ability to maintain grace under pressure and contribute to a positive work environment Seeing to read and review material for accuracy. Hearing and speaking to exchange information with co-workers Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to take instructions and complete given tasks Reliable and punctual Work Environment This job operates in a warehouse environment. This warehouse is climate controlled. Physical Demands The individual will be lifting up to 75 pounds consistently, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, scanning, placing materials, as well as physical bending, twisting, kneeling etc. in a safe and efficient manner. He/she must have dexterity of hands to operate various manufacturing equipment. He/she may spend time using computers, so must have dexterity of hands to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment. Schedule and Availability Unless other arrangements are made with the supervisor, the individual in this position will work full time, Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 3:30PM. Travel No travel is expected for this position.
