Job Description The Manufacturing Technical Writer is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed work instructions, based on engineering documentation, for the manufacture of both flight and non-flight hardware. This is a full-time non-exempt position in which the work is performed under general supervision by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is evaluated on results obtained. The Technical Writer will: Create operations Travelers for all new product builds based on direction from engineering drawings and reviewers. Maintain IFS Product Routings to match Traveler operations. Maintain in-process Travelers for engineering changes and issues that occur during the build. Develop and maintain rework/repair travelers. Qualifications A bachelor's degree in technical communications or another technical field. 2+ years of experience in a high reliability production environment is preferred. Additional qualifications include: Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, enterprise and database software. Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes. Knowledge of computer information and database systems Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish good rapport with members of management and other employees. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Ability to work on more than one task at a time. Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Ability to proofread and edit a variety of documents and to pay attention to detail. Ability to use enterprise software systems such as VALOR MSS and IFS. Additional Information Compensation: Base pay range is $34-44/hour, depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus.
