Job Summary: In this role as a Manufacturing Technician for the 2nd shift at Norma Precision Inc, you will be responsible for operating machines, packing ammunition, and conducting quality inspections. Attention to detail and a commitment to product quality assurance are crucial aspects of this position. Responsibilities: - Perform pre-operation inspections to ensure machines are clear of debris and raw materials are loaded correctly. - Start and monitor machines to ensure smooth operation and quality standards are met. - Address any malfunctions or jams in machinery promptly. - Conduct quality inspections on the first run of products. - Clean and maintain machines according to guidelines. - Ensure a safe and clean work environment by following regulations and procedures. - Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as needed. - Perform Operator Level Quality Assurance checks on parts produced. - Pack ammunition into appropriate packaging for distribution. - Complete any other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Entry-level position. - Strong attention to detail and excellent eyesight for close inspection work. - Knowledge of firearms and ammunition is preferred. - Technical aptitude to troubleshoot various types of machinery. - Ability to work independently, multitask, and communicate effectively. - Comfortable working under pressure and adhering to safety protocols. - Must pass a background check and drug screening. Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt, 2nd shift (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm) Work Environment and Physical Demands: - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 60 lbs. - Wear appropriate safety gear like work toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection. - Ability to hear and respond to soft and loud noises. - Flexibility to bend, twist, reach, and operate equipment safely. - Must be adaptable to changing work environments.
