Job Title: Manufacturning Technician B Job Code: 32385 Job Location: Cincinnati, Ohio Job Schedule: 4/10 Employees work 10 hour days, 4 days a week   Job Description: This position supports strategic programs essential to maintaining U.S. Armed Forces’ readiness.  The successful Manufacturing Engineering Technician will contribute as a member of a project design team, providing technical support for product design and process development. Activities include documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and layouts for mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical assemblies. Manufacturing Engineering Technicians also support programs through operator training, process issue resolution, and monitoring and evaluating existing operations for opportunities to improve efficiency, first pass yield, and scrap rates.    Essential Functions: Assist in the development of methods, processes, tools, jigs, fixtures, etc. required to fabricate the specified products. Write work instructions, production routings, and validation plans. Lead the set-up and validation of new production lines. Provide technical expertise and support related to operations and manufacturing engineering. Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations. Submit and manage tool room work order requests. Review product designs for manufacturability and completeness. Train production personnel in new or existing operations. Prepare reports and white papers summarizing information or trends related to manufacturing performance.   Qualifications: Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0-2 years of work experience related to the fabrication or assembly of close tolerance mechanical, electronic, or electro-mechanical piece parts. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel). Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.   Preferred Additional Skills: Experience in the defense or aerospace industry. Experience with pressing, staking, riveting, swaging, potting, electronics soldering, conformal coating, packaging, X-ray inspection, laser welding, robotics, and control systems. Experience with ANSI J-STD-001, AS9100, and ANSI Y14.5. Experience with SolidEdge and Minitab.
