PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE.

The manufacturing technician role is to ensure the day-to-day functioning, upkeep and technical knowledge of company laser capabilities. They will work as a member of the engineering and operations team but should have the self-confidence and skills to work and make decisions independently. They will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of activity on plant laser assets. They will be key to the manufacturing process within BS&B Limerick to ensure that manufacturing output from applicable machines is maximised

DAY TO DAY DUTIES OF THE ROLE.

· Implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
· Hands on participation in production environment
· Troubleshooting of equipment and production process
· Ensure smooth handover of new processes from development to production.
· Implement quality systems and work closely with Design, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering.
· Participating in various project teams
· Provide process validation support both internally and with vendors.
· Qualify new test or prototyping equipment.
· Participate in various trainings to develop skillset
· Respond to production job requests.
· Implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of issues.
· Programming modification
· Maintain 5S and good housekeeping standards.
