QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Technical diploma or degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in electronics manufacturing or equipment programming is highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of X/Y coordinate programming systems and automated assembly/test machinery.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with process documentation and manufacturing work instructions.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001/ISO 13485, IPC standards, or other quality management systems is an advantage.

KEY SKILLS

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with operators, engineers, and management.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

The Electronics Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for programming, configuring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable and efficient production. A strong knowledge of X/Y system programming is highly desirable. The role also involves creating and maintaining accurate manufacturing documentation to support production teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program, calibrate, and troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment (with a focus on X/Y system programming).
  • Develop, review, and update manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and equipment setup guides.
  • Support production teams in resolving equipment or process-related issues.
  • Ensure equipment is set up correctly for new product runs and engineering trials.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Maintain compliance with company quality standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations staff to optimize processes.
  • Provide training or guidance to operators as needed on equipment use and documentation.
