OUR PURPOSE

At our Manufacturing Engineering Department in Medtronic Mervue, plc, we focus on providing technical support to Manufacturing operations with a focus on results and teamwork. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician III is directly involved in achievement of our mission to contribute to human welfare by manufacturing products that alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform a variety of duties in the Electronic, Mechanical, Electromechanical and/or Optical areas.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, devices, or systems.
  • Develops Engineering solutions using DMAIC methodology in a LEAN environment.
  • Works from schematics, Engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed I.T. format.
  • Performs calibration and alignment checks, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
  • Provide technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement and product development.
  • Responsible for the installation, calibration, and preventative maintenance of on-line process equipment and for the preparation, maintenance, and control of appropriate documentation outlining product processing work steps.
  • Provide technical support to Lean Sigma initiatives/continuous improvement projects or other task/project teams as required
